Grateful & gratis webinar

California educators, join us for a webinar for math teachers and school leaders.

In this webinar you’ll explore our newest middle school math program, Desmos Math 6–A1. You’ll also get access to free resources, lessons, and a trial of Desmos Math 6–A1!

Kelly Serpa Howe

Regional Math Specialist

Kelly spent twelve years as a fifth grade teacher specializing in math. EdTech professional development and sales called her name in 2017, and she's never looked back! Kelly is never far from a classroom, though. She's currently earning her Ed.D from the University of New England focusing on equitable teaching practices and dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline. When she's not studying, she enjoys (slowly) riding her Peloton, reading Stephen King books, watching the New England Patriots win football games, and snuggling her rescue pup, Remy.

John Hoogestraat

Regional Math Specialist

John has spent the last 12 years working to inspire students to love math and see themselves as developing mathematicians. Within education, John has taught middle school mathematics and worked as a Math Specialist at the district level. In his current role as a Regional Math Specialist, you’ll find John presenting at conferences, supporting school districts, and engaging with teachers. John is excited to spread the sense of joy and wonder that a beautiful curriculum can bring to as many students as possible. When he isn’t working, you’ll find John on his bike or skis, playing in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two kids.
