Science of Reading: The Learning Lab is a series of three self-paced, online courses for teachers, instructional leaders, and school or district teams. Created by literacy expert Susan Lambert, Ed.D., the courses are accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and built around the IDA’s Knowledge and Practice Standards. The courses build the knowledge and practical skills educators need to strengthen reading instruction and support students.

Course details

Each self-paced course takes 25–30 hours to complete on Amplify’s interactive online platform. Courses remain accessible for 12 months, and participants receive a downloadable certificate upon completion.

  • Objective: This course offers a comprehensive overview of research in this field. Each of the eight modules contains three lessons covering the foundations of literacy acquisition. This course is best for educators and leaders who want to build a shared foundation in the Science of Reading.
