About the program

Effective interventions emphasize foundational content that connects to grade-level learning. Boost Math brings instructional coherence across tiers with one Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) solution that’s connected to core instruction, helping students see how what they’re learning in intervention directly supports them in their math class.

With Boost Math, teachers:

  • Assess to take action.

  • Connect tiered intervention to core instruction.

  • Deliver targeted support to every learner.

FAQ

Boost Math is an intervention and practice math program that brings grade-level, core-aligned math within reach for every learner. By translating assessment data into targeted learning pathways for each student, Boost Math helps you deliver the right instruction at the right time while keeping core instruction at the center.

With Boost Math, students are grouped into learning pathways based on assessment data for key math topics. Just-in-time support builds foundational skills according to each student’s needs and reinforces concepts directly aligned to core instruction. As a result, intervention strengthens grade-level learning rather than pulling students into extended, off-grade remediation.

There are flexible ways to implement the topic-specific, 20-minute sessions of Boost Math, depending on the routines of your class, school, and district.

Each topic is around three to five weeks, with each session taking about 20 minutes.

  • In grades K–5, we typically recommend three sessions a week.
  • In grades 6–8, we typically recommend two sessions a week.

Turn reliable data into instructional clarity. Amplify’s research-backed assessments give insight into student proficiency and growth to generate instructional groupings for every major math topic.

These groupings guide Boost Math’s learning pathways to help show where students are, and how to best support them.

  • The Intervention Pathway provides targeted support for students who need additional help with key concepts that build toward the current grade-level topic, combining teacher-led instruction with aligned practice to move students toward grade-level learning.

  • The Practice Pathway provides meaningful grade-level practice for students ready to strengthen and extend their understanding, keeping them engaged with the math they’re expected to master this year.
