Amplify CKLA pacing and planning resources

Upon logging in to the CKLA Teacher Resource Site, you can access planning documents such as Pacing Guides, Teacher Planners, and Scope & Sequence documents. Don’t forget to check out the CKLA Professional Learning Site from the Program & Apps menu (under Other Resources), which has training modules specifically about pacing and planning. Use the search feature to locate what’s available to you!

Planning for Pausing Point days

Pausing Point days occur at the end of a unit and can be used for enrichment or remediation. The Teacher Guides provide directions for a number of activities. These days are flexible and you may utilize the Decoding and Encoding Remediation Guide (grades 4 and 5), the Intervention Toolkit, and/or the Fluency Packet (in the Additional Resources section of the Teacher Resource Site) during this time to support students with skill gaps. Pausing Point days are also a great opportunity for teachers to work in small groups.
