Happy Native American Heritage Month! We owe many of our education milestones to Native Americans—from mathematical principles to governmental models. While we're grateful all year round, we put a special emphasis on celebrating these contributions and the culture and heritage of Native Americans during the month of November.

Spotlight

Cori Vandergriff

Knox County Schools, TN

“They're children first, instead of just a score. Seems obvious but I still see so many teachers forget that these little people have lives [and] emotions too. They don't just come to school to act up. They get stressed and worried and anxious and hyper, just like their teachers. So, it's much better classroom management when you think of them first, not their test scores and completed homework.”
