Every month we gather the latest information about Amplify Science for you and your students. We’re here to support and enhance your teaching experience, today and wherever this school year takes us!

Amplify Science@Home resources update

We heard you, and we’re taking action! We are currently working with our partners at the Lawrence Hall of Science to streamline and simplify your Amplify Science@Home experience. You’ll start to see new enhancements this month, and here’s what you can expect:

Simplified resources, faster release. For the next round of Amplify Science@Home units, we will be designing one set of student resources that can be used in both digital and non-digital households. You’ll simply choose whether to access them in a PDF or Google, then share them with your students in whichever manner you prefer. This will make your decision making and preparation easier, and, importantly, will also speed up our delivery of the @Home Unit resources.

Thanks again for your continued patience and helpful feedback!

Shared student logins

In case you missed our message in your digital Teacher's Guide, the generic student login we have been providing for digital book access in grades K-5 will no longer include Spanish apps. Multiple users have access to the account, so switching the language impacts everyone. To make things easier we are separating the accounts.

Feel free to share whichever logins are appropriate with your students:

Spanish account:

  • username: ampsci123
  • username: ampsci123sp
  • password: ampsci123
  • password: ampsci123sp

Remote and Hybrid Planning Consultation

The Professional Development team is pleased to offer two new remote workshops to support planning and implementation of the new Amplify Science@Home resources. The 90-minute Remote and Hybrid Planning Consultation provides a walkthrough of the new @Home resources and some getting started strategies. The 3-hour Guided Unit Internalization session supports teachers to develop a deep understanding of a unit and walks through a planning protocol for rigorous remote and hybrid science instruction.

Please reach out to your account executive to schedule!

The Assign in Google Classroom button will soon be available on the lesson brief for all middle school units. Assigning this Amplify link can serve as a helpful shortcut to redirect students to the lesson brief rather than a specific activity in the lesson.
