💬 Advice and answers

How can I keep my students focused in class?
To help manage a classroom where devices are being used, use the Start Class and Eyes Up features embedded in your Amplify Science lessons. When you select Start Class, you have the option to click Eyes Up. This will give students a full-screen directive to have “eyes on teacher” with a paused screen. When using this function, teachers are able to see where all students are in the platform.

Did you know your articles and books have a read-aloud feature?
All articles (for grades 6–8) and books (for grades K–5) have a read-aloud feature available. Students can select the speaker icon to play and control an audio recording.
The Amplify Science Program Hub also offers a YouTube playlist of all grade K–5 books being read aloud by an adult. Simply go to the On-demand resources section, choose your grade level, then select Read-Aloud Videos.

“Students always want their work to be ‘right,’ but sometimes it’s about the claim, evidence, reasoning process, not right or wrong.”
