We hope you enjoyed a restful winter break and your 2024 is off to a great start! Here's to another year of remarkable achievements and memorable moments!

We partnered with Amplify Ambassador Allie Appel to create these goal-setting bookmarks! Allie works with her students to set goals, then checks in on their progress and places a sticker or star in the box below a goal once they’ve completed it. Once one goal is met, the students set another!

💬 Advice and answers

How can I access resources in the PD Library?

As you jump back into the school year after break, we want to remind you that you have the PD Library at your disposal, accessible from your Programs & Apps menu. In the library, select the grade band that you're looking for to see videos that show you what's included in the program, how the program is structured, how you can pace your lessons, and how to plan and teach using Amplify Science.

How does the differentiated lesson that comes after the Critical Juncture work?

In every core unit, the lesson following the Critical Juncture Assessment contains one or more activities that are automatically differentiated for your students. The content students see in that lesson will vary depending on their Critical Juncture results and your own impressions of their current level of understanding. You can adjust the differentiation groups in Classwork.

Have you or your colleague mastered the art of weaving literacy practices into science instruction?

Celebrate this hard work by submitting a Science of Reading Star Award nomination! We want to know how you’re empowering your students and transforming your classroom with the Science of Reading. Check out our categories and list of prizes—and nominate before Feb. 15.

🔗 Let’s connect

The Amplify Science Facebook community is a great place to get ideas and collaborate with other educators. Meredith B. shared a suggestion to tape samples to cardboard for student observation, which proved helpful for her students during the Chemical Reactions unit. Join the group to share your photos and collaborate with other educators from around the country!
