  • We can do hard things. / Podemos lograr cosas difíciles.

Announcements

Dyslexia Awareness Month

In recognition of October being Dyslexia Awareness Month, we want to remind you that mCLASS combines the latest edition of DIBELS®, which has been validated for dyslexia screening, with additional measures to address the full range of skills associated with dyslexia risk. Difficulty in one or more of these areas indicates risk for additional reading difficulties, which could potentially be related to dyslexia. Our additional assessment measures decision guide outlines what these measures are and how they are assessed, instructional next steps, and who to contact to add these assessments to your current program.

Getting started with progress monitoring

Progress monitoring is one of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) best practices. mCLASS with DIBELS 8th Edition supports universal screening and progress monitoring, and provides instructional activities for teachers and leaders to make data-based decisions. Teachers can progress monitor students to view their growth easily within the assessment app. See our help library for more information on how to get started with progress monitoring.

Webinar series

Last spring, thousands of educators attended our Science of Reading Is for Everyone webinar series to discover the meaning behind the Science of Reading and how its instructional practices are key to student success. This fall, we are going beyond the basics with Part Two. Join us over the next few months to dive deeper into what it takes to build a comprehensive Science of Reading-aligned instructional system that supports all students.

On October 26, Sarah McCarty, Amplify director of literacy & math, will host Getting At-Risk Readers Back on Track with Research-based Intervention. During this webinar, she will explore Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention in a Science of Reading context, and how to leverage it to help even the most at-risk students read and succeed. Join us for a chance to hear about how mCLASS supports MTSS and RTI models in the classroom!
