This time of year brings a lot of anticipation, excitement, and information. Our goal is to guide you and your students with easy-to-understand resources to support you during the first few days, weeks, and even months of the year.

If you haven’t attended our Back to Basics series, there’s still time to claim your spot! We have two sessions this month, so be sure to register and make the most of this training opportunity as you prepare to head back to the classroom with Amplify Reading. Do you have questions for our Amplify product experts and educators? Submit them prior to our Ask the Experts night to ensure they get answered.

To any newsletter newcomers, welcome! Every month we share valuable information regarding your program: updates and announcements, events, practical teaching tips, educator spotlights, and more. This month, if you're looking for a fun and interactive way to get to know your new class, download and print this Get to Know Me sheet for younger students (also available in Spanish) or this sheet for older students (also available in Spanish) for them to fill out as they return for the school year!

Advice and answers

How can I learn more about my students' personalized placements in Amplify Reading?

You can refer to the Overview section of the Students tab of your Amplify Reading Teacher Dashboard to see if your students have already been placed in Amplify Reading's robust skill map. The Quest column will show a "P" for any students who are still taking their placement assessment, and students who have completed their placement activity will begin their first quest narrative and skill game. And if you'd like to know about their skill game content relative to their grade level, visit the Skill section of the Students tab. Head over to our dedicated help article about student placement to learn more!
