How do I get started with progress monitoring?
Once you’ve completed all of your benchmark assessments for the beginning of the year, you’ll want to begin progress monitoring students to view their growth. You can easily progress monitor students by toggling to the Progress button at the top of the menu. There you’ll find recommended measures for students that need extra support. View our help article about progress monitoring to learn more.

What resources does mCLASS have for dyslexia screening?
Did you know mCLASS® with DIBELS® 8th Edition has been validated for dyslexia screening? Additional measures for grades K–3 can be added to address the full range of skills associated with dyslexia risk. If students show difficulty in one or more of these additional measures, there is risk that they have additional reading challenges, which may include dyslexia. Check out our additional assessment measures decision guide to learn about these measures and what instructional strategies to follow next.

“ I know that getting the human brain to read is very complex and mCLASS has really helped me kind of problem-solve with my PLC and the strategies I’m using in the classroom, having the ability to run several different reports, especially the Correlation Report which helps analyze how my students are transitioning from the beginning of the year to the middle of the year, and then again from middle of the year to the end of the year. It sparks a lot of meaningful conversation and reflection. It helps me answer the important question, ‘am I meeting all of my students’ needs? ”
