In addition to observing Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month this May, we’re also continuing the celebration of Teacher Appreciation Month! Check out start.amplify.com to access and enjoy the downloadable cards and virtual stickers (under the Bonus tab) that recognize your valuable work. And congratulations to all of our giveaway winners! Review the daily tabs to see if you or someone you know was selected to win one of the many prizes we were giving away earlier this month.

Have you heard about our new Knowledge Research Units?

Available for use during the 2022–2023 school year, these new supplemental units provide additional materials and instruction focused on research and inquiry. One unit is available for each grade in grades K–5, and each is supported with a Teacher Guide, Activity Books, Image Cards, and a collection of authentic Trade Books.

Units can be implemented for extended core instruction during flex periods, district-designated Pausing Points, or enrichment periods to embrace your students' curiosity and enhance their learning. Contact your Amplify representative to learn more and request access to the new Knowledge Research Units.

Newly redesigned Amplify CKLA Skills Readers!

Did you know that the Amplify CKLA K–2 Skills Readers have been redesigned to increase student engagement and sense of connection with the decodable stories and their characters? Stories with human characters have improved diversity, inclusivity, and authenticity, while others have fantastical creatures to bring more excitement and whimsy to the tales. If you’d like to learn more and request access to the new Skills Readers, contact your Amplify representative!

Insight from an Amplify Ambassador

Want to hear from a fellow educator? Jill Scheibel is an Amplify Ambassador and curriculum coordinator. When asked to identify a book about teaching that she’s thankful to have read and explain how it inspired her to be better at what she does, she shared: “The Energy Bus! How to reframe my own thinking, but then help others reframe their thinking. An easy read with a profound impact on teams. The lessons are presented in a story-like way that is easy to read. We can all see ourselves in George's shoes and how hard it can be sometimes to get out of the bad mood/mentality. Also by having a common language for our team to use and keep teammates in check once the energy suckers come out.”
