The following enrichment activities can help you extend learning for select students who are seeking a greater challenge.
- ReadWorks articles extend students’ content knowledge and help them develop rich vocabularies.
- Challenge suggestions are listed in the sidebar of the Teacher Guide to further extend lesson learning.
- Pausing Point activities can be adapted to meet your students’ needs and used to celebrate learning in creative ways.

How can I make sure I’m set up for success when returning from the winter break?

“Be creative. I love doing virtual field trips and bringing the lessons alive. Make the questions into a game, use highlighters, play videos, have the kids act out scenes. Make it fun! Your interest gets the students more involved than any fun activity you plan.”
