📣 Announcements

Admin Reports for Amplify Caminos are now available!

Admin Reports for Amplify Caminos are structured in the same way as they are for Amplify CKLA. And for both Amplify CKLA and Amplify Caminos users, Admin Reports now have a new side-by-side biliteracy view, so you can view usage in one place for both programs. To access Admin Reports when logged into the platform, expand the Programs & Apps menu on the Global Navigation bar, scroll to “Tools,” and select Administrator Reports. Read our help article for more information on how to leverage this tool.

New Bilingual PD Library

If you're using both Amplify CKLA and Caminos, we have new resources for you! On our PD Library, the Amplify CKLA+Caminos icon in the top bar will bring you to a dedicated page with planning and implementation support.

💬 Advice and answers

How do I assess my students?

In Amplify CKLA, assessments progress from moment-by-moment assessments to benchmark assessments.

  • Each lesson segment incorporates Checks for Understanding to increase engagement and let teachers make real-time adjustments to their instruction.
  • Each lesson goal is tied to a formative assessment opportunity, allowing teachers to see which students need more support with a benchmark.
  • Mid-unit and end-of-unit assessments provide valuable information on the skills and content students have mastered.
  • Benchmark and placement assessments help teachers set goals and monitor the growth of each student, providing a baseline at the beginning of the year and ensuring students are advancing toward grade-level objectives.

This month we asked Allie Appel, one of our Amplify Ambassadors, to tell us a helpful program recommendation she’d like to share with others. She said:

“Read the Intro section of each unit! These are so full of professional development for the teachers. It will help you understand the WHY behind each theme and also explain some of the phonics rules you will be teaching to the students.”

We want to hear from you!
