It seems like there’s always that one TV show that everyone’s talking about. And after an episode ends on a huge cliffhanger, everyone’s dying to find out what happens next.

 

We hope your students do the same thing at the end of Detroit’s Population, Part 2.

We end Activity 2 by asking students to write down a question. Have them consider what would happen in the next episode of Detroit’s Population. Invite students to share their questions with the class. If you have time, choose one or two questions to investigate together. Consider using the Explore section to inspire students to learn more about their community.

 

It might feel incomplete to end a class with a bunch of unanswered questions. But let’s lean into the cliffhanger and treat it as an invitation to wonder what happens next. We hope your students leave this lesson buzzing with new questions!
