💬 Advice and answers

Did you miss our biggest Science of Reading event ever?

Our new ebook, Navigating the Shift to Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction: 6 takeaways from Amplify’s Science of Reading: The Symposium compiles wisdom from global literacy experts like Kymyona Burk, Ph.D.; Natalie Wexler; and others to strengthen literacy instruction in your classroom.

How should I use Amplify ELA Novel Guides?

All Novel Guides are housed in the Amplify Library as downloadable and printable PDFs. They include student worksheets and instructions for you to guide students through a close read of a passage, all the way to the end of a book.

The Novel Guides can be used at any point in the year or paired with thematically related core units, before or after teaching the units. Or, if you would like to build out lessons, the guides can be used as the foundation for a more fully developed curriculum.

How can I continue to keep caregivers informed about what students are learning?

In Amplify ELA, every unit has a Caregiver Letter in English and Spanish. These can be found in the Materials section for the unit as well as in the Professional Learning site under Parent and Caregiver Resources. They provide a summary of the learning targets and focus of classroom time, as well as questions to start conversations between students and caregivers. In addition, we encourage you to share the Caregiver Hub for a comprehensive overview of the program.
